Jamin Calculator is a free, fast, and accurate online land unit converter built for India's complex measurement system — and for property buyers, sellers, farmers, and legal professionals across the world.
Our Mission
India's land records use dozens of regional units — Dhur, Kattha, Bigha, Ankanam, Cent, Guntha, Biswa, Marla, and more. Each state, and often each district, follows its own standard. We built Jamin Calculator to give every user one reliable tool that covers the full picture — from Bihar's district-specific Laggi-Haath formulas to metric and imperial units used across 195+ countries.
What We Cover
- All Indian States — state-specific units including Kattha, Bigha, Marla, Biswa, Kanal, Guntha, Cent, Ground, Ankanam, and many more
- Bihar Laggi-Haath System — 12+ major Bihar districts with their unique Laggi Haath standard (4.0 to 10.0 ft), giving precise Dhur → Kattha → Bigha conversions
- 195+ Countries — international units such as Hectare, Square Meter, Acre, and Square Foot for land buyers and investors worldwide
- Custom Mode — enter any Haath value manually for non-standard or rural block measurements
The Bihar Laggi-Haath Formula
Bihar's land measurement system is anchored on a single formula used by every local revenue office:
1 Dhur = (Laggi Haath × 1.5 ft)2
Building from there: 20 Dhur = 1 Kattha | 20 Kattha = 1 Bigha | 20 Dhurki = 1 Dhur. Universal anchors: 1 Acre = 43,560 sq ft = 100 Decimal.
A "Kattha" in Patna is not the same size as a "Kattha" in Gopalganj or Bhojpur. Selecting your district automatically applies the correct Haath — removing the single biggest source of error in Bihar land transactions.
