Land Measurement Units Around the World
Land area is measured differently in almost every country. While the international metric standard - hectare (10,000 sq m) and square meter - is officially adopted by most governments, traditional and customary units remain in daily use across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. Property buyers, NRIs, agricultural researchers, lawyers and financial professionals regularly need to convert between local units and international standards when working across borders. Jamin Calculator covers 195 countries with dedicated land unit converters calibrated to each country's locally used units.
